INSPIRING POETRY
WRITING & RESISTANCE
It is this poem by Bertold Brecht that inspired a digital agora and brought together the texts of resistant women from the Mediterranean, bloggers, poets, writers. From Tunis to Madrid, from Cairo to Beirut, they make their voices heard through the Internet to denounce economic and social crises, police repression, and patriarchal society. Following the creation of a digital agora, Sublimes Portes brought them together first in Marseille on September 12, 2015 at the Villa Méditerranée, then on tour in Istanbul, Tunis, Aix-en-Provence ...
AT THE CROSSROADS OF POLITICS & POETICS
They embody individual resistance, they impose their existential freedom by speaking loud and clear, they demonstrate the interweaving of the intimate and the public, participate in History by writing their history. This project is intended to strengthen feminine creation by amplifying these voices, by crossing these writings, to make them heard beyond their borders. The artistic bias is engaged, feminist and transnational.
ANTIGONE
Quitte l’obscur et viens
Devant nous un moment
En amie, avec le pas léger
De la résolue, effrayante
Détournée, je sais
Comment tu redoutais la mort, mais
Tu redoutais plus encore
Une vie indigne.
Et tu n’as rien épargné
Aux puissants, ni transigé
Avec ceux qui sèment le trouble, ni jamais
Oublié une honte et sur leur crime aucune herbe
N’a poussé.
Je te salue !
